Gouffre de Padirac

The Gouffre de Padirac is one of France’s best natural discoveries from the 18th century. An underground labyrinth found accidentally it is both beautiful and awesome. From the exterior, its a hole in the ground, but what lies underneath is a jewel.

 
Your journey starts with a decent in lifts and then walking along the pathway as you get your own auditory tour guide in your preferred language. Leading to a short boat ride. You will find the two hours here well spent, and with on-site catering facilities with lots of options.
 
People with limited mobility will find this is not a suitable excursion.

Local tips:

Tip 1: Wear sleeves, as anc comfortable walking practical shoes its temperature is 13’C year round.

Tip 2: It is essential to reserve your place at least 24-hours before arrival on the Gouffre. In peak holidays, and high season, arriving on the day may mean several hours wait for available tickets (if any)
