Rocamadour is one of those striking places, a village upon village, perched on the valley wall. Home of the Black Virgin, this sacred place is a must to see.
With a connection to nautical, its medieval town, religious connections and splendid beauty is something to behold. We always recommend visiting in the morning, before the thousands arrive (usually around 11am! Park near the Chateau, under the trees, and then walk, or get the vernacular railway down to the sanctuary area. You won't be disappointed.
