Terms & Conditions

La Petite Auberge is our family home and a chambre d’hotes, as such we do have some policies in place to protect you and protect us.

Reservations

  • For all bookings we require credit/debit card details to guarantee payment. This is collected and held via Stripe, the internationally secure payment system. Further details here Your credit card data is not seen by us but held as a guarantee. Where you call direct we will ask you to reserve online as this offers exactly the same rate best value rates

  • For reduced rate bookings, we will charge your card 1 nights stay as a minimum at time of confirmation.

  • For Christmas and New Year bookings, we will automatically take a non-refundable 50% deposit. The remaining balance on arrival.

 

Prices quoted online /per telephone

  • Prices are per room per night and include international breakfast, and taxe sejour per person per night which is mandatory in France and sent to the authorities.

 

Confirmation

  • We confirm your booking within 12 hours but often sooner, by email from our reservation system.

 

Payment

  • We collect payment on arrival. We accept a range of payment cards such as: Carte Blue, Visa, V PAY, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Discover, Diners Club or China Union Pay logo.

Cancellation

  • In the event of your booking being cancelled or curtailed by you, we are entitled to charge for booked accommodation not taken up. If cancellation occurs within 3 days of arrival a cancellation fee of 100% of the first night’s booking fee will be charged against the card details provided, less taxe sejour. 

  • Where we have an offer, or non-refundable rate this would not be refunded in any circumstances. 

  • We will allow you to change to new dates should you need to curtail, but this is subject to availability, but only if you have booked direct with us and not through an OTA. 

  • We recommend all our guests have insurance against cancellation or curtailment (where a further date cannot be taken)

Non-availability or cancellation by us

  • In the unlikely event we would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you.

  • Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

  • We recommend you have travel insurance to cover cancellation by you or by us. We will issue an invoice automatically to the email address provided in the case of cancellation, or now show showing the amounts taken against your card

Arrival & Departure procedures

  • Your accommodation is available to for you to check in from 15:00 up to 19:00 on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged.

  • Check out is from 07:30 and no later than 10:00 on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.

  • Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable upon arrival and any extras are payable on departure.

  • We are entitled to request proof of identification (acceptable ID documents are: a photo ID card, passport, divers licence) and we reserve the right to refuse access to your accommodation or withdraw your accommodation and require you to leave immediately and without notice or a refund if either you refuse to provide sufficient identification. We will record your ID document and Car registration as locally required. 

Transfer of Booking

  • Your booking is not transferable.

  • You cannot transfer or resell your booking (in whole or in part) or advertise or otherwise offer any room for sale and if you do transfer or resell (or attempt to transfer or resell) your booking then we may terminate your booking and retain any money paid to us for the booking.

  • Any bookings resold or transferred WILL not be honoured and we accept no liability in respect of this.

  • If we have agreed (in exceptional circumstances) to allow a transfer of your booking (to a family member or close friend for example), then you continue to be responsible for the booking, the behaviour and conduct of the replacement guests (you will be responsible for ensuring that they comply with the current Terms And Conditions detailed on this web site) and any additional charges incurred such as extras or damages, which will if required, be charged to the card you used to create the original booking.

Refunds

  • If a refund is agreed we reserve the right to charge an administration of up to 10% of the booking fee this is to cover bank and administration time.

Damages and Breakages, loss of keys and permits

  • You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you or any member of your party cause to the accommodation or its contents.

  • Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/ debit card, for repair or making good, or loss of income due to damage and/or failure to report, especially if the damage or breakage is significant.

  • We may make an additional charge if you did not report this.

  • Were you fail to return your room key and/ or parking permit (subject to availability) we reserve the right to charge €50 for loss (or not returned same day as departure)

  • We will charge the credit/booking card and issue an invoice for any charges relating to loss or damage.

Behaviour

  • We reserve the right to refuse access to your booked accommodation or withdraw your accommodation and require you to leave immediately and without notice or a refund if in our reasonable opinion

    • you or a member of your party are disturbing other guests peaceful stay,

    • are abusive, aggressive or excessively intoxicated with alcohol

    • or under the influence of drugs or engaged in any form of illegal or immoral behaviour.

Liability

  • We do not accept liability for damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

     

Children

  • La Petite Auberge de Carennac is adults only, unfortunately we don’t accept children under the age of 18 as defined in French law) and in no case will any room accommodate more than two people.

  • We reserve the right to refuse access to your accommodation or withdraw your accommodation and require you to leave immediately and without notice or a refund if either you provide ID that confirms you are under 18 years of age, or when asked to provide ID you refuse.

  • Where we agree to vary this policy, you are wholly responsible for your child’s activity, safety and behaviour at all times, and where this interferes with other guests we reserve the right to terminate your accommodate with us and no refund.

Pets

  • Unfortunately we don’t accept pets. Where you bring pets into our accommodation, you will be asked to remove them, and may be asked to leave without refund.
